Andria M. Klioze, MD

2020 Past President

Prior to joining UF Health Heart and Vascular Surgery at Halifax Health, Dr. Feezor practiced at UF Health in Gainesville for eight years. During this time, he served as program director for the vascular fellowship program, as well as director for the UF Health Comprehensive Vein Center. He was awarded the national Resident Award for Exemplary Teaching by the American College of Surgeons in 2005, the Hugh M. Hill Award for outstanding resident teacher in the College of Medicine in both 2005 and 2006, and the Department’s Outstanding Faculty Award in 2010. Dr. Feezor’s clinical interests include open surgical and endovascular treatment of aortic diseases, peripheral and visceral occlusive disease, and dialysis access creation and maintenance. For Dr. Feezor, the most important part of treating his patients is an understanding with the patient and his or her family regarding the patient’s wishes, which he believes is paramount to quality patient care.

FSU College of Medicine

As a community-based medical school, the Florida State University College of Medicine provides third- and fourth-year clinical training at regional medical school campuses around the state through affiliations with local physicians, ambulatory care facilities and hospitals.

At the Regional Medical School Campus – Daytona Beach, clerkship directors from the Volusia County area direct the students’ rotations in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics-gynecology, psychiatry, geriatrics and emergency medicine. Additional community physicians serve as clerkship faculty in these and other clinical areas. The regional campus is located on the Daytona State College campus.

Each year, the FSU COM elects student representatives to serve as part of the VCMS Executive Committee.
This year we’re pleased to welcome…

Halifax Health Family Medicine Residents

Accredited in 1971, the Halifax Health Family Medicine Residency Program is the first community hospital-based family medicine residency program in the state of Florida and one of the top time-honored programs in the nation.

Each year, the Residents choose a Family Medicine Residency physician to represent the group with the VCMS. This year, we’re pleased to welcome:

Sara Oliveira, MD

The VCMS Hall of Famers is a group of retired physicians who once practiced medicine full-time in Volusia County. Many of our retired physicians continue to keep their education and licenses current, now serving as volunteer physicians in area clinics like the Volusia Volunteers in Medicine and the Jesus Clinic. The VCMS is honored to have these retired physicians as active members of the Medical Society. Their dedication and commitment to this community has benefited us all.

As physicians with years of training and experience practicing medicine, we all feel the mounting pressure from the current healthcare environment – regulations, legislation, EMR, value-based care, OSHA, HIPAA – the list can feel overwhelming! Renewed memberships give us the best chance of strengthening our voice in our county and at the state level. Additionally, closer to home, it strengthens us as a profession and as professionals.
